Miles Morales Says Hey or Miles Morales Flirting refers to a memorable scene from 2018 animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse in which the protagonist Miles Morales attempts to flirt with a schoolmate by placing his hand on her shoulder and saying "Hey". In December 2018, the scene was featured in assorted remix videos and was embraced for an exploitable comic series.


On December 13th, 2018, Sony Movies SA<1> posted a distinct clip from its upcoming animated movie Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. In the scene, main protagonist Miles Morales provides an uneffective pass at his schoolmate Gwen Stacy by placing his hand on her shoulder and also saying "Hey".


On December 17th, 2018, iFunny user whipmynip<2> uploaded a screenswarm of a three-panel meme based upon the scene in which Miles Morales was replaced by Bee-Movie character Barry B. Benchild (shown below, left). The short article obtained over 73,000 likes in one month. On December 18th, 2018, SuperHeroHype<3> forum user Kane52630 posted a two-panel meme based upon the scene (presented below, right). It is unclear whether Kane52630 was the original creator of the picture.

On December 23rd, Redditor<6> Sqoof posted another version of the meme, presumably produced by Redditor Lem1697, to /r/dankmemes subreddit. The article got over 40,100 upvotes in one month.
